Pros

Fun Merchandise, Luxury Retail Experience, Opportunities for internal pop up relocations, access to company store beauty product discounts, 30k pension after 5 years with the company, Chanel's internal Fashion Education, $1000 wellness fund, 4 wellness days a year, 10 sick days,

Cons

(depending on where you work) management can be unorganized, retail vs corporate dynamic - retail stays retail. - constant fraud and shoplifting with inconsistent outsourced security, minimal merchandise, discount is 1 item for the whole year at 70% off (no classic styles, nothing current season or the previous season) competitive work environment, aggressive work environment

Pros

brand is full of amazing history and product worked with some truly wonderful people (coworkers and clients)

Cons

very cliquey - if you’re not “liked” you’re not getting anywhere lots of judgement on your appearance, weight, personality very unprofessional upper management can put in so much time and effort and still be told you’re not enough unhealthy work environment

Pros

You’ll learn a lot due to lack of training. They are trying to focus on diversity and inclusion, there are some people that are truly amazing in upper management, and the discount is decent.

Cons

Poor management. Constant restructuring and lack of work life balance. The company constantly speaks to work life balance but continues to layer new job functions without increasing pay or adjusting work load. The management does not want to hear what is wrong and there is a total lack of planning. I’ve never seen a large company run so poorly. Pay is sub par for expectations and the company constantly changes bonus structure making it difficult or impossible to make the full bonus. My manager compared a trans employee to a drag queen and told me she wouldn’t hire “one of them in an important store”. This totally goes against what the company says they want but if you go against management they make your life difficult.
