Pros

Great training. Mostly good people. Decent benefits.

Cons

Pay. Exponentially expanding duties with no extra compensation. More work, less pay. No work/life balance...opening, mid shift, closing nights, weekends, holidays, etc. Poor store management that is more interested in their own ambitions than actually leading the team and making the difficult working experience more enjoyable. Management integrity and style leave much to be desired. Now with the CEO change the company does NOT care about the associate any longer, just ways to cut costs and to make the shareholders more money.

Pros

Benefits are good. Pay is pretty good. Work hours are nice if you like working super early in the morning and getting off early afternoon.

Cons

The dealership I work at has extremely poor management and in turn employees have pretty low moral. Carmax also has very specific protocols for detailing a car which are very hard to follow because they are time consuming and we are on a very strict time schedule to get cars done in. There doesn't seem to be a lot of room for career growth as well.
