Lost its Culture

Pros

- Nice People - Meritocracy - Clients are all based in London... No typical Consulting travel

Cons

- Very poor work-life balance. required to dedicate your own free time beyond office hours for internal projects which are focussed in helping Capco grow. Compensation for this has been drastically reduced but is still used as a criteria to assess your progression so you are left with no choice but to do it. - Company is so focussed on growth that it has lost its culture. There is a very high turnover due to constant changes in senior management and burnout. - Choice of project. You take what you get, and have no choice in the project you are placed in. This is especially the case If you are an entry level Consultant. You are either a PMO or a BA and will be stuck at the same client unless the project ends. Projects do not end as its generally managed services based, so you are on the same client for years... - All about perception and knowing the right people to be promoted.

Good for grads, not so good for experienced hires

Pros

- Good colleagues - Some people rise fast - Some interesting roles

Cons

- A huge amount of bodyshopping - long term roles that are not consultancy - Lots of people are over-sold when they join but very few are promoted in less than a year - There is a huge link between time on a single project and promotion. Don't join if you want short-term strategic/advice engagements - politics will get in the way of your progression
