Thanks for taking the time to write a review. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed many of the benefits that Capco has to offer including market-leading compensation and benefits. We also agree that our people are "friendly" and approachable - something which candidates often comment on during the recruitment process. Capco is dedicated to the financial services industry and we can offer lots of opportunities to individuals wanting to develop consulting skills and expertise in this space. We are sorry to hear that this wasn't the right area for you and we wish you the best of luck in your future career!

Pros

A lot of smart people get tricked into joining, and the culture is still good at entry level

Cons

Work has shifted from involving some strategy to pure staff aug, project management outsourcing, data grunt work, random stuff back office staff won't do themselves. Promotions are about who you know and good work is not rewarded. There is a lack of expertise that is compensated for by an aggressive sales culture and long hours worked by entry level consultants with no guidance.

Thank you for your feedback. Whilst we agree that we hire a lot of smart people, our approach is certainly not to "trick" people into joining. Our recruitment process is designed to enable candidates to meet a number of people from HR and the business throughout their journey to allow them to get a true sense of Capco and to decide if it's the right place for them. At the start of the year, we introduced a new approach to performance management which enhances our current process. The pilot which we are running throughout 2017 is designed based on employee feedback and complements our robust roundtable and promotion processes. We are disappointed to hear that you feel there was a "lack of expertise" and an "aggressive sales culture." As a consultancy solely focused on the financial services industry, our consultants offer deep expertise in this sector.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. It's great to hear that you are enjoying the opportunities at Capco and working with your colleagues in one of our newest and fast-growing regions. As you mention, consulting can be a challenging, yet interesting and rewarding career and can require a high level of stakeholder management working with different clients and teams. Working in an international firm with global clients can mean working across different time zones, however, many people also enjoy the global aspect of projects.
