Capco is an increasingly significant player in the financial services market and we regularly compete and win against our larger competitors. We are also growing much more quickly than competitors and are able to share a broader range of opportunities for development and career progression with our people. Working at Capco means that you will see more variety in roles and have more opportunity for progression as we grow the firm. You will find it easier to switch capabilities and move into new areas, accounts or roles, and take advantage of genuinely exciting development and leadership opportunities. Part of building a fast paced and quickly growing business means we do run a small but high quality support team. The feedback on these pages is a testament to the strength and variety of the development and training opportunities offered at Capco and the effective work our compensation team delivers in both benchmarking our salary and benefit packages to ensure they lead the market.

Pros

Projects are being led by incapable people - family and their friends and well wishers. Promotions and onsite for people who are closest to the managers Good at selling dreams but when you enter and start working it tastes like rotten apple. No vision to grow but happy at blowing their trumpet Dumb-Dumber-Dumbest is the motto. Dumb will be leading the project engagement, Dumber will be made lead, and they will make you the dumbest person on the planet through their approach Managers of the engagements only care for a few employees who can help them outside in personal space - buy things or help them with other requirements outside office Managers expect their leads to engage in time pass throughout the day so that their chair is safe. They choose people who are good at time pass.

Cons

Immense power struggle as a certain group of people from one state are trying to hold power along with their friends at the top level Good people are suffocated to leave the company and incapable people are allowed to lead due to power struggle and ego of managers No creativity, No vision, No growth. The approach is ridiculous. So called employee related processes are a hogwash. No employee can report harassment to HR because these managers are so interlinked that if you report against the malpractices of one then their family and friends at the top will harm your career. HR will just sit like a well trained pet and wont do anything.

Thank you for the feedback. We do not recognize your comments on ‘a family shop’ and thankfully this comment is not reflected in our general feedback. At Capco, we look to optimize the deployment of people to opportunities and we employ high caliber Resourcing professionals to help us in this area. With these people, we are able to take a broad view of optimal deployment (not just by matching the required skills to an opportunity, but also seeing if the opportunity can be a platform for skills development and career progression. If you genuinely believe that people are denied opportunities or that personal and irrelevant factors are blocking deployment, I urge you to report this to your local HR contact so that we can take action. Local HR have a strong track record of investigating issues raised by staff impartially. If your prefer, you can also contact our Global HR Director, Richard Gartside, who will ensure any issues are properly investigated. We can give you complete assurance that the matter will be treated as strictly confidential. This assurance also applies to the comments on harassment. If you have genuine concerns about the impartiality of the HR team or their capacity/willingness to launch a proper investigation into harassment, I urge you to get in touch with our Global HR Director. Your complaint will be treated strictly in confidence, the matter will be properly investigated and remedial action will be taken up to and including dismissal if misconduct is discovered. When considering this request, I urge you to reflect on the fact that, in recent months, several serious matters have been investigated by the India HR team, some of a very sensitive nature. The team investigated these issues and, where necessary, took action against the perpetrators. Where a recent complaint related to the conduct of a senior manager in the business, the matter was properly investigated and remedial action undertaken by the local team overseen by Global HR. I urge you to give us more details of your complaint so that we can follow a similar approach in this case.

Thanks for sharing your feedback. Capco offers comprehensive benefits to our employees. We’re glad to hear that these have been important to you. The figure you quoted on attrition is not correct, our attrition is nowhere near that level. Attrition has been at or below industry standards in Capco. There are many opportunities to progress and develop as we grow the firm and these factors contribute to the higher retention levels we enjoy. There are several ways in which people are recognized for their contributions. This is very important to us. Our structure is matrixed, with industry and capability domains. It is relatively flat which means employees have more direct access to senior leaders and more opportunity to make an impact. Our 401(k) plan is highly competitive with a significant match. Through the 401(k), our people can defer some of their income on a tax-deferred basis and benefit from earnings and a significant match. With regard to placement in roles, we have dedicated resourcing professionals who focus exclusively on finding suitable projects for consultants (mindful of both skills and personal development). The way we staff projects is inclusive and interactive. We encourage employees to share their interests in different types of work. Everyone has visibility of all available opportunities and people are free to apply directly for roles of interest to them. While we can’t always accommodate every request, we do make it a priority to place people in the roles they are seeking so they are highly motivated and will be successful. As the firm is enjoying rapid growth a broader range of opportunities are available to our employees. Please feel free to reach out to our Americas HR Lead, Mary Keller, to discuss your feedback and how we might best support you.
