The pay is not great - different people are given different contracts so beware if you are hired under a third party as a contractor as you'll be paid significantly less than your peers who are actually hired by CNBC. You'll work side by side in the same newsroom, but because of the paperwork, you can be paid and apprised very differently. I found this out too late.

- Lack of transparency from management. For example, the latest president did not communicate about a departing news anchor—no announcement, just their sudden absence. Similarly, previous leadership failed to address the abrupt departure of my manager, who went from preparing for a major event one day to being completely unaccounted for the next. Poor progression in the company - There are very few opportunities for growth or advancement within the organization. Roles tend to stagnate, and promotions or career development paths are rarely outlined or offered. Employees who show potential are often overlooked, leading to frustration and a lack of motivation to stay long-term. - HR makes poor decisions when points are raised, leading to a lack of trust. HR fails to handle employee concerns effectively or professionally. When issues are brought to their attention, they are often dismissed, poorly managed, or addressed in a way that feels superficial and unhelpful. This has created an environment where employees are hesitant to report problems, as they don’t trust HR to act in their best interest or maintain confidentiality.
