Digital sucks

Pros

You’re part of the NBC ecosystem and they match up to 6% 401k

Cons

Not much room for growth on digital. The CNBC Make It team is tragic. The work is a grind for very little pay and there’s no career progression.

Bad Experience Here

Pros

Clean offices. Professional environment overall. There are some smart and talented people. If you live in NJ, it's a great way to work in media w/o going into Manhattan.

Cons

Depends on who your supervisor is. Mine was extremely inept and a bully with zero mgmt skills, but was kept at a very high ranking position anyway, pulling the wool over everyone's eyes. If you love the rush of working in the home of media which is NYC, look elsewhere. It was depressing to look outside a window and see a NJ car park (if you had a window, most cubicles didn't) People were very stuck up and clique-ey.

Pros

Free cab rides in Good welfare (meals, care packages, celebrations) Top notch medical insurance A long-staying boss that is a gem of a person Understanding bosses You never take work home

Cons

Meagre pay unless you've gotten 5-6 years in (no kidding, can't even apply for a credit card with the entry level salary) Horrendous start hours - 3 am start times, but could be attractive to those who can do it Lots of toxic personalities that gaslight and dump work, shout expletives and scream Promotions take too long
