Pros

You get a paycheck a couple of times each month.

Cons

Work from home means work all the time. Coworkers expect you to be at their beckon call 24 x 7 x 365. Forget eating dinner with the family. Sleep with your phone more than your spouse. If you like working with people who will ignore processes and are too lazy to learn how to do things for themselves, this is the place for you. If you enjoy being told your 14+ hour days are not going to cut it, this job is for you. If you enjoy having directors and VP's that go home after they hand you 3-4 hours of work they need by tomorrow morning to send to the Senior VP (with their own names on it of course), this is the job for you. Analysis paralysis? Yes we have it. Currently 7 meetings a week to discuss how to be more productive. That is amazing. Perhaps 14 would double productivity? This is hands down the most horrible place to work. Here of some signs. Upper management does not understand basic job functions and processes that have been in place for 10+ years. When the underlings try to explain those processes, they are belittled for being so stupid as to believe that those processes are correct. Cultural survey's are sent to all employees that are anonymous but then at the deadline a list of names that have not taken the survey are circulated so managers can make sure those folks take them. Makes it hard for folks to tell the truth. This company continues to create ridiculous positions that do nothing but create more work for others. Any little issue that is lifted up must be communicated to multiple groups in the organization just in case they want to know and oh by the way most of them enjoy every evening and weekend off. Why? Because I'm always working!! Don't get me started on the customers. Why even have processes. No one follows processes and because of this every customer just whines and complains and does everything but call the right person. Then internally everyone complains that my team and others like it are not responsive. How the heck can we be if we are called hours, days, or weeks later?

Pros

Some decent coworkers and supervisors, just not enough of them to go around.

Cons

You need to kiss up to everybody you work with and not rock the boat. Even when the other guys are steering the boat towards a waterfall, just hold hands and sing kumbaya. God help you if you dare to explain what's wrong with what they're doing, too many backstabbers would just mouth off to your supervisor. That's all the excuse needed to get rid of you in the annual layoffs that happen every September.

Not the BDB it once was...

Pros

Many talented, dedicated, and resilient associates outside of leadership with terrific customer focus who continue to deliver amazing contributions and results throughout the company year after year

Cons

Tremendous politics, chaos, and dysfunction now permeate throughout sales, service, and other organizations as a consequence of leadership changes during past few years, after multiple, well- tenured, former leaders retired or left the company. Current leaders continue to struggle with establishing increasing levels of trust, respect, and credibility with customers, and within their own teams. BD core values once so widely respected and adopted by all seem no longer relevant from the perspective of customers and existing leaders
