Pros

Some great people, some great teams, some great stores, real commitment to sustainability, can do spirit, variety of jobs.

Cons

Narrow, limited and uninspiring management, constant leadership change, out of date retail practices, obsolete IT, the cash cow of Kingfisher, unrealistic bonus targets, some very inadequate teams, some very inadequate stores (60 being closed), frequent 'burn out' of good people, lack of a coherent and consistent strategy, culture or values, weak delivery service, constant criticism, lack of respect for people.

Pros

Very little as management will suspend from work on all kinds of health and safety rules.They spy on you from cctv so be warned forklift drivers.No pros really unless you like poverty wages and doing the work of three people and no respect.Best pro is that you getting out after your shift.

Cons

Everything.Wages poor bonus rewards.Poor poor poor management at all levels.Untrained staff all walking around on phones or smoking outside.Staff being suspended all the time on health and safety rules they make up day by day.Management spying on you on cctv and staff bullying other staff.No proper training for new staff and awful customer service.Enter this company at your own risk.

Pros

Some extremely hard working individuals at this company who are fantastic team players and have the company's interests at heart. Very proud to work with so many colleagues that are extremely knowledgeable, driven and helpful to others.

Cons

Continuous change, can never complete objectives before the direction of the company changes. Very frequent redundancies and team changes leading to frustrations of never knowing the immediate future let alone the long term. Most recognition for good work appears to be when it has meant individuals have been working many more hours than they should be, no encouragement of work life balance. Loyalty to the company is not valued or rewarded in terms of pay, most new starters recieve a much better salary than long term employees. Performance is not linked to pay or bonuses, only company profit is taken into account.
