Pros

Good benefits and insurance (HSA)

Cons

Worked for AX 16 years. Unreasonable metric goals, unable to take breaks without lowering your performance percentage. Micro-manage employees. No way to climb the ladder without brown-nosing with leadership. No time to learn new policies, expected to take training in between calls or small window at beginning of shift. Total sweat shop environment that does not value the customer-facing employees. The only reason reps stay is for the pay & benefits. Stressful!

Pros

Get to know a lot about the financial services sector, but you get to know that at any prominent bank, also they have great customer service

Cons

Leaders are rigid, toxic work environment, HR has no role to play and ER will not help no matter how serious your grievance. There is a culture of pleasing your boss even though he/she sets unrealistic work expectations. There is no respect of work life balance. the internal surveys conducted to guage how the employees feel about the company are a sham, as the people manager will force you to fill in good ratings.

Pros

Base pay is ok not the greatest for the work

Cons

Sales is the primary focus... Looks like they're trying to weed out U.S. reps all together and send our jobs overseas for less pay however there is a MAJOR cultural difference and they use misleading sales tactics (BIG NO NO!)and other departments such as credit/fraud have absolutely no sense of communicating well and us US reps basically has to clean up the mess for as much as amex charges to carry their products the service has become so disgusting to say the least, compared to our competitors which is probably why we're seeing less tenured and less loyal card members since there's really nothing that stands out anymore about this company (disappointed)
