Pros

The pay is very high for call center work and you will gain a lot of life experience from the types of calls you get. It gives you tougher skin.

Cons

When u started 12 years ago we could go to the bathroom, take extra time to help customers between calls and we were actually given training and rewards. Since Covid everything has gone in the trash. The bonuses have been cut, people are fired left and right for no reason, training is cancelled then your written up for not knowing the training that was cancelled, no one seems to care. Reps constantly lie and because they aren’t in the us they are held to lower standards so most of your day is undoing what has been done before you. It’s constant catch up and your not paid for taking calls in a higher skill que. I used to love it but it became too scary to stay.

Pros

Good brand name for the resume Cool office location Happy hours Decent training

Cons

Below-average salaries Constant restructuring and fear of layoffs Internal mobility is difficult The work you do doesn’t matter as much as your “personal brand” and your ability to network within the company; you can’t advance if your VP doesn’t like you Finance organization is too large with too many teams that do similar things; teams end up competing against each other and sometimes are openly hostile towards one another because of lack of clarity about roles and responsibilities, and because people are protecting their own job security rather than doing what is best for the company Good chance that you will get siloed and end up only focusing on one or two account lines within the P&L, with no exposure to other things unless you can move internally to a new department

Unfair to U.S. candidates

Pros

Facilities are nice. Arizona locations are relatively clean. Cafeteria is nice.

Cons

They have an interview process that is designed to eliminate U.S. candidates from being hired. They use lower criteria for the H1B visa candidates. About 80% of technical workforce in Arizona are foreign visa. But if you do get hired, managers are NOT software developers yet they manage software developers. Supervisors are called Directors from some reason, they micro-manage the direct employees while NOT holding visa workers accountable. Management in general dominate meetings and suck the oxygen out of the room. It is all about the management team and their politics.
