Pros

The company is truly focused on the setting expectations appropriately with all stakeholders, including shareholders, customers and employees. Success is typically found among those who can propose a vision and then deliver according to plan, neither promising too much nor too little. This leads to reliability and eventually trust - the most regarded currency at the company.

Cons

The company has challenges linking strategy to tactics. A lot of this seems to develop from a very top heavy organization structure. Goals are set and tasks are assigned, but much depends on middle management to connect the two. More can be done to improve and when it's not, it becomes a real problem, not only for mid level VPs, but their teams as well. The number one concern of an employee is whether his/her leader offers a clear vision for the team.

Pros

Trying to reinvent themselves from a marketing standpoint, but doing it slowly. Large, impressive brand to have on a resume.

Cons

Salary is below average. They set salary guidelines but the majority of employees fall below that salary and there is no room for negotiation. At the manager and Sr. manager level you are overworked with little work-life balance. There is a very selfish culture of wanting to move up quickly, so a lot of the leadership are inexperienced and lack real leadership or mentorship skills. The biggest con is the constant re-org and restructuring and tons of layoffs in the process. I was an employee for 4 years and cant remember one year where they weren't laying people off. It creates a very stressful, unpleasant and selfish work environment. Also-terrible health benefits

Pros

More than 2 weeks of vacation per year, schedule flexibility, profit sharing, plenty of opportunity for monthly bonuses

Cons

Back to back calls, insufficient job security, bad surveys that affect you when the surveyed is really mad at the company, and favoritism.
