This company (AWS) can‘t be ranked as a top employer although it is leading the market leader.
Pros
Good salary, good benefits, some kind folks working there.
Cons
No one cares about the well being of employees, nothing being done more than useless statements and deco principles. Some people, incl. account managers, are pushed to meet customers during Covid-19 with blatant disregard to human wellbeing. During 3 years of work, I have seen a lot of good people being terminated after they start, just because there manager think they don‘t fit, even if the manager is still new to AWS and to the cloud. A lot of people are being hired with no good culture being maintained, many people would just leave if they get a higher offer. Mixed feeling about working there, but I wouldn‘t do it again. So many slogans and principles flying around, it becomes ironic after a while how you see some people violating basic ethics in treating employees while repeating Amazon Principles all the time.
