Pros

I genuinely cannot think of any.

Cons

AlphaSights claims that once you're familiar with their transcription format, you can make up to $15.00 an hour. This is completely untrue. As someone who was worked as a transcriptionist for many years, you will be struggling - STRUGGLING - to make a living wage. The audio files were the worst quality I have encountered in my career. Their QA/grading system is absurd. Do not work as a transcriptionist for this company.

Pros

young company, lunch catered to company but you must pay for it, some exposure to legal concepts like risk management, fun offsite and group events

Cons

Repetitive and monotonous daily work that isn't very interesting. The job isn't dealing with real law or legal regulations. Upper management has poor managerial skills, juvenile work environment can often feel like a high school clique or sorority/fraternity that benefits only upperclass preppy white people, hours are still long (8am-6pm), pay is mediocre for New York City cost of living and hours

Pros

Great people and plenty talent who are awesome to spend time with, made some genuine friends there and the culture really pushes these relationships

Cons

All that talent is, more often that not, wasted on a repetitive role with questionable value add. Management is running a great business model which continues to grow but offer very little value add considering associates are to thank for some impressive performance. They mirror some sort of personal development which really comes to an end after 6 months where there is little more to learn once you have understand how they work and how they are trying to continue making clients pay more and more for diversifying services This repetitive role leads to a very high rate of churning amongst staff who are there for one of two reasons, 1. They do not know what to do going forward and this is a decent way to learn a few skills, make a very decent salary, 2. They are currently looking for another role but prefer doing so whilst getting paid
