      Pros

      Decent salaries for the Romanian market.

      Cons

      The engineers are lacking most basic communication skills. Meetings where everyone talks about something else and the conversation feels like multiple passing ships. People were not able to read and comprehend written paragraphs that are longer than 2-3 sentences or are not in bullet points. Manager barely understood what the team was working on, but was eager to express disapproval.

      The overall company was great, but that's not what keeps people at a job.

      Cons

      My experience on my team was defined by poor leadership, gossip, and a culture where misinformation and politics carried more weight than performance. I experienced a lack of support from management when issues came up, and it did not feel psychologically safe to speak up or ask for help. After returning from protected leave, I was separated shortly after, and the process left me feeling like I was not given a fair or objective evaluation. I also observed patterns in the Education org that made it feel especially difficult for people of color to thrive and be supported consistently.
