Pros

- Awesome culture. I love going to work every day. People are really nice - exciting to be in the industry where a lot of innovation is happening - good work life balance - flexible RTO - two one-week shutdowns per year, unlimited PTO, global wellness days, great benefits

Cons

- Leadership lost its way. Missed huge opportunities in markets served by Canva and GenAI. Took the wrong bet on commercially safe models, missing out on huge opportunities that were captured by competing GenAI models. No clear strategy or vision from management about how to get back in track. Our products are losing market share every day and management seems to be lime deer in headlights, unsure what to do - Watching stock price deflating nearly every day is disheartening - Decision making is very slow. Takes ages to get things approved. - C-suite is mostly over 50 and often seem out of touch with latest AI and tech trends. Uphill battle sometimes to get them to see urgent opportunities that need to be acted on immediately - Adobe failed to organically develop major products in the last 20 years. Major recent ones; Firefly and Express; have not been successful.

Pros

The employee benefits remain very good - medical cover, stock options, ESPP, health and learning funds. There are still a lot of good people, trying to make the best of the situation The AI tools in the creative cloud are excellent

Cons

Adobe UK used to be a truly excellent place to work as a sales professional. It wasn't as high-pressured or straight-laced as the other major SaaS vendors, and had what felt like limitless potential and opportunity. The UK sales org was staffed with interesting and creative folk, the majority of whom were a pleasure to be around. Sales leadership, especially at First and Second levels, was understanding and supportive, for the most part. Growth was steady, we had sales reps winning global awards, career advancement was available. Unfortunately over the course of the last 3-5 years, that culture was eroded and replaced with a results-at-all-costs, 'either get in line or get out' mentality. Some poor performers were removed, fair enough, but some top performers and exciting younger talent were also forced out of the business due to personality clashes. Creativity in sales execution and new customer growth was deprioritised for squeezing an existing customer base until they had enough and served notice. The fun atmosphere was replaced with a relentless grind and humourless senior leadership. The UK sales organisation went through multiple senior leaders across 3 years with an average tenure of about 6 months - that is not normal and that is not a stable base from which to grow. FLMs have been brought in who, unfortunately, play favourites leading to questionable moves and demoralisation for others. It's a real shame - the potential was there to not tread the same paths as other organisations and yet...

Pros

- virtually no layoffs - hybrid working model (50%/50% between home and office) - a lot of freedom in choosing own involvement level

Cons

- total compensation is very underwhelming (and getting worse every year) - very resistant to changes - top leadership seems oblivious to employee's and company's problems ... they simply ignore them - the company aims to hire cheaper and cheaper work force instead of aiming higher for better results
