Pros

Impressive technical stuff. Great management. Teamwork mentality. Good perks and benefits.

Cons

Not the best for work/life balance but usually with more holidays than the rest of the companies.

Pros

Huge company with a very developed business. Adevinta consist of multiple "marketplaces" or sub-brands which have independently existed for years. Currently in the process of consolidation which is causing some major changes. From a developer perspective this is a fun challenge, without the risk of losing your job. Quite a few teams are doing serious experimentation, introduction new solution while trying to integrate formerly independent companies.

Cons

You could get stuck with a legacy project. Or one of the marketplaces sold off for being unprofitable. Generally it's not a fun company. Very serious and corporate, sometimes stereotypically so. However not in a malicious way. There is no "work hard party hard" mentality, but everyone will respect you as a person and employee.

Pros

Adevinta is a good company to work in general. It is specially good if you have a junior profile and want to learn. They put a lot of resources in your career development and there's good opportunity for internal growth. Benefit packages are nice. In general they are focused on treating their workers well (although I've seen it can vary depending on the team, some have high levels of stress). There's a lot of colleagues with a lot of talent that you can learn from, and the environment is very friendly and healthy. The company culture aims in the right direction for that. From my experience and comparing with other colleagues working in other companies, I would its a great place to work in the tech sector.

Cons

On the other hand, I think it has a lot of room for improvement. Salaries can be lower than other companies, and the way they calculate them can be a bit opaque, leading to some distrust in that regard. Additionally, one of the big slogans they use is that you would be working for a company with sustainability at its centre. Certainly is there is a focus on that, since second hand classifieds are one of the parts of their business, but it's difficult to feel it once you realise the other most important to are motor and real state. Furthermore, there are reorganisations of the structure in the company very regularly that can make you feel unstable, and the way they handle them and how those make us feel could be improved. The main communication channel we have with upper management is some "All hands" and "Weekly connect" sessions, which are great, a lot of times the answers to the most relevant questions are very vague, which doesn't help in this reorg situations.
