I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Yardi Systems (Denver, CO) in Sep 2015
Interview
The first interview was a phone screening with a recruiter from the HR department to make sure you are a good fit for the position. I then went through a second phone interview with a few individuals in the Denver office that are in higher positions. I went through my job history and they asked me what systems I worked with at my previous positions, as well as how I handle certain issues that may arise. They want to see how you problem solve...they made me feel at ease during the whole process. Once they liked what they heard, I was invited to an in person interview with the same idividuals I spoke with on the phone in addition to a couple of individuals that would be my colleagues if offered the position. At the end of the in person interview, they asked if I was still interested in the position...I told them yes and had to take a test. The test contained basic accounting questions, SQL, Networking/IT, and basic math word problems.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
You have a balance beam scale and 7 balls. 1 ball is slightly heavier but requires the scale to know for sure. How would you determine which ball is heavier than the others with only 2 weigh ins?
I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Yardi Systems (Norcross, GA) in Oct 2011
Interview
Interview with approximately 6 different team managers. Accounting test and basic SQL test given at the end of interview. Research the company and your job description before the interview; the managers will be impressed and you'll stand-out from the rest.
Intimidating at first, because you are lined up to interview about 5 different times with at least 2 managers in each interview. However, everyone was super nice and really easy to talk to. Pretty much just asked about experiences on the resume, some basic accounting questions, SQL knowledge and Customer Service.
