The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Waitrose (London, ON)
Interview
Online application consists of 2 multiple choice questionnaires. (Situational).
Once passed, was scheduled for a group interview.
Group interview was split into two sections: Group task and individual interview.
Group task: Introduce yourself to the group (3-6 people & two interviewers), we then had to match some products to some customers based on what they were after (as a group). Each person was then given an item that is sold in the store and was then asked to "sell the item" (just look at the stand out features and say how it would benefit the person) etc.
Individual interview was just a few short questions. Why Waitrose? why you? etc etc.
Was called two days later and given the offer.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Waitrose (Coventry, Angleterre) in Sep 2014
Interview
group interview followed by a face to face interview. group interview involved taking part in small tasks just for the interviewers to see what you're like working with people. this is essentially just to find out if you are polite, can work as a team and have a bit of character! this is a job stacking shelves don't be nervous just show them you're a polite person who can think on their feet.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Waitrose (High Wycombe, Angleterre) in Jul 2016
Interview
There was an initial online interview based on a variety of in store situations. They were about 20 in total and their primary aim was to find out what kind of employee you would be. I would advise to pick answers that did not involve getting a manager involved and choose answers that highlight you as ambitious and independently capable. Next is an in store interview split into two sections. In the one on one interview again promote that you are an ambitious and independently capable worker. In the group interview make sure to be very vocal and prove that you can work well in a team by listening to others ideas whilst contributing your own.
