I applied online. I interviewed at Panda Restaurant Group (Dallas, TX) in Feb 2026
Interview
The interview was sourced through Indeed but I was also expected to go on the website to interact with AI, just to allow for an upload of the resume, where they were then intended to invite people into a zoom chat where they then sourced people from, to be asked questions and be immediately dismissed (thought that might have just been me) claiming that AI would be used with the recording on the backend, and that I needed to leave the chat.) I didn't stick around for whatever might have been going on in the main chat, though I assume it really was just a waste of time even considering Panda as a good employer, based on the "soft skills" and general indifference to the people applying.
Also, AI is incredibly biased, and any company that chooses to rely on it are just pathetic (hence why they resort to it when turnover seems to be a badge of honor, since clearly so many people want to line up to become cannon fodder?)

I applied in-person. I interviewed at Panda Restaurant Group
Interview
Spoke one on one with the manager of the location. Interview was easy and straight forward. Was asked about strengths and weaknesses and why chose Panda Express. Also, the whole process took 1 week from the interview to first day of work.
