I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Meta (Menlo Park, CA) in Feb 2018
Interview
The interview process was smooth and speedy. Recruiters were transparent and helpful the entire time. I was given realistic expectations and recruiters prepared me well.
It starts with a recruiter phone call. After that, you'll be asked to send in some of your work for content strategists on the team to evaluate. You'll have a video call with one content strategist, who will ask you questions like "Why Facebook?" and also ask you to talk about your work.
If they like you after the video interview, they'll give you a test, which is similar to how other applicants describe. You have 72 hours to do a few assignments, and it should be designed well (think presentation). I honestly spent about 30 hours on it. Schedule it for a weekend.
They judge this blindly. If you score high enough, they fly you out for an in-person interview, which is about a 5-hour process on a Thursday or Friday. First you present your work from the assignment (they might not be the same people who graded it), then you have 3 one-on-one interviews.
It is nerve-wracking! But worth it.

Question 1
A lot of "tell me about a time when..." and being asked to explain parts of previous work.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Meta (Seattle, WA) in Dec 2016
Interview
Great overall. The recruiter was lovely and responsive, and did all that was possible to prepare me for the each phase. It was a 4-step process. Here is a bit of info about each step:
1. Phone interview. This was pretty basic, and mostly involved learning more about the position, as well as getting general insight into my background and work experience. The recruiter was really approachable and easy to talk to. It wasn't particularly intimidating.
2. Video chat with another Content Strategist that works for Facebook to go over work samples. After finishing up the phone interview, I sent through samples of past work. You can either link out to your portfolio, or send them in another format. I was told we would discuss the work samples in the video chat, but the interviewer didn't end up asking me many questions about it. We mostly chatted about the role. Then she asked me about my experience, goals, understanding of content strategy, etc. All pretty easy and lots of fun.
3. Content strategy assignment. This part was hard, and the assignment was vague. I had to redesign one of the Facebook products, including proposing new content solutions. The assignment is then scored by other content strategists at Facebook, but unfortunately my score was too low to continue the process.
4. In-person presentation of content strategy assignment. I didn't get to this step so can't give much info about it!

Question 1
How would you describe and define content strategy?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Meta (Menlo Park, CA) in Nov 2017
Interview
Following a slew of demoralizing applications and interviews at other companies, the recruiting process at Facebook was quick, smooth and enjoyable.
A recruiter reached out to me following an internal referral. I submitted an exercise similar to that mentioned by other interviewees. I interviewed via video chat one week later, and I was flown to Menlo Park for a final round the following week, before receiving an offer 5 days later.
The process moved very quickly, especially given an overlap with the holidays. Every individual I spoke with was kind, responsive and came across as genuinely interested in me and my past work. I felt respected every step of the way. I especially enjoyed the on-site interview, during which I presented my work to my interviewers before three one-on-one interviews. I had the opportunity to ask some hard questions and get a deeper sense of the cultural dynamics at Facebook. I left feeling incredibly confident about joining the Content Strategy team.
