I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Meta (Menlo Park, CA) in Feb 2018
Interview
The interview process was smooth and speedy. Recruiters were transparent and helpful the entire time. I was given realistic expectations and recruiters prepared me well.
It starts with a recruiter phone call. After that, you'll be asked to send in some of your work for content strategists on the team to evaluate. You'll have a video call with one content strategist, who will ask you questions like "Why Facebook?" and also ask you to talk about your work.
If they like you after the video interview, they'll give you a test, which is similar to how other applicants describe. You have 72 hours to do a few assignments, and it should be designed well (think presentation). I honestly spent about 30 hours on it. Schedule it for a weekend.
They judge this blindly. If you score high enough, they fly you out for an in-person interview, which is about a 5-hour process on a Thursday or Friday. First you present your work from the assignment (they might not be the same people who graded it), then you have 3 one-on-one interviews.
It is nerve-wracking! But worth it.

Question 1
A lot of "tell me about a time when..." and being asked to explain parts of previous work.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Meta (Londres, Angleterre)
Interview
Met with multiple people on the content team. Was then given a timed UX writing test. Did well on that and was then asked to present on my background. The recruiter was very keen the whole process and then completely ghosted me at the final stage. It was extremely unprofessional, especially since the whole process took 2-3 months and took a lot of time and energy.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Meta in Oct 2025
Interview
Was a few months long process overall, that was initially 2-3 phone interviews. Then, I had a zoom interview with two team leads to talk about the role. Overall, everyone was very friendly and communicative. Each person I spoke with left me feeling happy and positive with their friendliness. It was most behavioral questions and “tell me about a time you…”

Question 1
How would you handle a scenario where a piece of content you published was considered controversial?
Muitas etapas, mais de 3 meses para dar um retorno final (negativa dada na véspera de natal). Uma das entrevistadoras sequer leu meu CV antes da entrevista, o que levou a um grande constrangimento.
