Following a slew of demoralizing applications and interviews at other companies, the recruiting process at Facebook was quick, smooth and enjoyable. A recruiter reached out to me following an internal referral. I submitted an exercise similar to that mentioned by other interviewees. I interviewed via video chat one week later, and I was flown to Menlo Park for a final round the following week, before receiving an offer 5 days later. The process moved very quickly, especially given an overlap with the holidays. Every individual I spoke with was kind, responsive and came across as genuinely interested in me and my past work. I felt respected every step of the way. I especially enjoyed the on-site interview, during which I presented my work to my interviewers before three one-on-one interviews. I had the opportunity to ask some hard questions and get a deeper sense of the cultural dynamics at Facebook. I left feeling incredibly confident about joining the Content Strategy team.
