I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at IBM (Melbourne) in Jun 2014
Interview
- slow, the HR lady didnt seem to care about what i was saying and instead kept looking at her phone. the second interview was better with friendly people. HR told me they will get back to me in 1 week, instead it took them 1 whole month.
I applied online. I interviewed at IBM (Katowice) in May 2015
Interview
I applied online. Spontaneously. 5 weeks passed and they called to arrange a first, around 15 minute long phone screening. The lady that called, was very polite and asked random, not very detailed questions about my previous experience (for ex. "what do you thing is the most important factor of running an IT project?"), checked my English and that's basically it. During that phone interview she said that she will recommend me for the face to face interview. After 2 weeks I was invited for the 1:1 interview. Unfortunately, this part of the recruitment process wasn't as pleasant as the first one. The interview itself was performed in a very unprofessional manner. With two Junior Project Managers. Both unprepared. One of them was dressed, as she was going to the beach. The only thing she missed, were the sunglasses. Promised to give feedback up to 2 weeks. It's been 3 months now, not a word.

Imagine you're a PM. What would you do if for ex. the next day you have a deadline for something, and in order to meet it, you need to get some info from a Senior PM, who is extremely busy and doesn't want to help.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at IBM (Wrocław) in May 2013
Interview
I was recommended by a friend who works there. First phone - screening by one of departments employees. Typical questions about my previous experience, projects and education. All conducted in English. 2 weeks later they invited me for F2F with Department First Line. 1 hour meeting, kind and pro atmosphere. Questions regarding my previous projects experience, my career goals. Huge emphasis on communication and relationships/networking skills. I received an offer 1 week later and accepted it.
