I applied online. I interviewed at IBM (Research Triangle Park, NC) in May 2020
Interview
A couple of days after applying, I received an email to take a test online. I took the test and have since been waiting for next steps. My assumption is that IBM places their entire notion of a candidate fully on whether or not they passed the test to their standards and NOT on their education, skills, experience, background, and that they are a human. My assumption was that humans ran IBM who actually cared about humans and would make decisions based on what those humans can bring to the table. Not whether or not they are good at playing a game online. Disappointing.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at IBM (Remote, OR) in Mar 2017
Interview
I had 3 interview stages. Two went really well and the 3rd not so much. After the last interview I knew I didn't got the job and I was fine with that. But what surprised me the most. I didn't got any reply till I actually wrote IBM asking for a feedback. I got a general reply without any feedback. They turn out to be very unprofessional.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The first interview was really causal with a Senior Manager from LA. It went very well so I got to the next stage with a UX Designer from US. Those questions were more technical and I ended up with my final interview with the hiring Manager in Melbourne on the phone.
I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at IBM (Bengaluru) in Jan 2018
Interview
Questions about aspirations and future plans. Questions about knowledge about Tata Elxsi and what they do. Portfolio presentation and a design test. Any one of the project would be selected to go deep and ask technical questions. HR interview was more about culture fit and salary expectations
