By far the worst interview experience I have ever witnessed in any company. Extremely disorganized, the interview was unnecessarily long. After 5 (VERY long) steps that dragged for over 3 months, I was simply ghosted. it's ironic how a dating app that claims (From their career's section) "We will let you know, we promise, no ghosting".
Recruiter call.
Technical Test: (Easy. Anyone with a SWE experience can ace it)
HM Interview: [Casual convo, with some basic interview questions]
"Culture interview": They want to know how you work with other employees.
"Skills interview": Testing you on your knowledge. Live coding...etc.
Again, this is by far the longest and most unprofessional interview process I have ever had... it's sad, but true...
I applied online. I interviewed at Hinge in Nov 2025
Interview
It was a very smooth and structured process. Once you pass the recruiter phone screen, they give you very detailed information about what to expect next.
- Recruiter phone screen
- Online coding assessment
- Hiring manager round
- No take-home assignment
- Technical round (2 interviews)
- Culture interview
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Hinge in Oct 2025
Interview
The entire process took about 2 months, mostly because I was traveling during that time. HR was very communicative throughout and flexible in scheduling interviews around my availability. The interview steps were clearly explained and also outlined on their careers page, which helped set expectations. Everyone I spoke with was really kind & thoughtful, and seemed excited about their work. Overall it was a very smooth & positive interview experience.
