I went inside of my local restaurant (Altamonte Springs) and asked one of the general managers if they were hiring. He told me "within the next couple of weeks, I am looking to hire another couple people. So filling out an application would be a good decision." Very well then, I filled one out and about a week later I got a call from one of the managers wanting to set up an interview. We picked a date, than I came in for the interview. I arrived wearing a nice Hollister t-shirt, Hollister skinny jeans, and white vans. I was very politely approached by the general manager who notified me it would be another 10 minutes before we could start, so he offered me a beverage while I waited which I thought was a very nice touch. After about 30 MINUTES, I was re-approached by him and the other general manager and they asked me a very basic series of questions. Such as, "what would make you good here?" and "what could you offer us that we don't already have?" I nailed all of those questions without a problem and I finished up within 20 minutes, and I headed out to Disney World for a long weekend stay with family. While at the Magic Kingdom, I received a call from my local Five Guys once again. This time, my general manager wanted to schedule a second interview with me, at that point I was very excited and had good hopes! I came back dressed as I was on the first occasion, I was basically asked the same questions again by the same 2 supervisors and they were strongly indicating to me that they wanted me. We closed out that interview after about 20 minutes. Than a few days later I received a call to come in for a THIRD interview.. At that point I was a little confused. Than the general manager approached me to inform me I had received the job, and he wanted my social security card and DL for records. Which I felt it was very unprofessional for him to tell me that after I had driven myself to the restaurant, and he basically asked me to drive home and get it and come back.. But oh well, I had the job! So I came back and they had me do a series of food safety and health tests required by the FDA. I passed all of them without a problem, and I was ready to go!
