I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CarMax in Nov 2023
Interview
Process goes: Interview with a recruiter whom preps you for all the other interviews. There is a tale home assessment which is super fair. Then the technical interview with 2 devs. Solve a problem whiteboard style. Then talk about different technologies and what their use is. Recruiter was amazing and help prep me, though I freeze up so I didn't make it past the technical interview
It was pretty cool. They drug test on the spot. It’s a mouth swab. They’re Only looking for hard drugs so most people should pass it with no real issues.
I applied online. I interviewed at CarMax (Roseville, CA) in May 2023
Interview
I had applied for a customer service job and was given an interview with a few simple questions. After the interview, it was decided that I would be a better fit for a different department, and a second manager came a few minutes later and asked the same questions on the interview template. Both managers were kind and welcoming.

Question 1
One of their simple questions was if I prefer to start the day with easier tasks or more difficult ones.
