Pros

Weekends off (unless you are production).

Cons

Constant fear of being furrowed. Useless outsourced 2nd level support that know less than you; No raises; Cheap products from phasers to production. DOA consumables you can't even ship back for analysis. No process owners. Stripping untested used parts off old equipment to repair new leased equipment.

Sinking Ship

Pros

good people, friendly staff, lots of experience

Cons

It's a sinking ship. Massive layoffs in Canada and USA under the radar. Corporate raiders laying off people and transferring jobs Overseas. A lot of good people let go. Wage freezes, poor morale, and the CEO is only around for his own personal gain as a stooge of Carl Icahn. Empty promises of a transformation while he is cutting staff

Pros

None - of all the jobs I've ever had, both part- and full- time, this is by orders of magnitude the worst. I would take my high school minimum wage food service job over this in a heartbeat.

Cons

Horrible rotating shifts Incompetent management Useless union Depressing, toxic atmosphere
