Pros

Health care is relatively competitive with other companies in the same industry.

Cons

The benefit of the recent wage increases past two years have now been nullified by the drastic reduction in earned paid time off per hours worked. I have worked 7 years for Walmart. I finally reached 5 weeks vacation potential. Or more specifically 198 paid time off hours earned and used in 2018. The new paid time policy Feb 2019 will have me earning only 128 hours of potential vacation time for the year. WHAT??? 198 paid time off hours down to 128. Wow. Thanks for making me feel LESS valuable with all my experience and hard work by reducing my paid time off potential in 2019.

Thank you for your feedback. Your inputs are certainly a cause for concern for the organization. Have you tried getting these addressed with the leadership/HR team? The bell curve itself is a guideline to enable teams to identify our top talent and not meant to be deterrent from strong performers. If you have identified incorrect practices please bring up the case with HR. Walmart encourages an environment of open and transparent feedback in a non-retaliatory manner. I am positive you should be able to find a good place where you will be able to grow your career going forward. All the best.
