Pros

The job is not really challenging at all. It's a good job for anybody looking to make a quick buck. This shouldn't be a long term job, half a year max. When there are associates who been there forever, it gives a good outlook on what the future looks like if one stay there's too long. It's drab and downright depressing. Hopefully it motivates one to go out and get a degree and get a better job.

Cons

The hours are horrible. The whole place feels cheap and dirty. Dealing with people that are sometimes just unbearable.

Pros

Good Pay, Lots of communication. Good structure and leadership until they eliminated the specialty divisions.

Cons

The company got too focused on precise policy and details on how to treat employees. checklists and forms and all that. The restructure that emiminated the TLE Managers was ery unfair. It took many of us that spent massive amounts of time devouting our careers to our stores and either tossed us aside or put us in unfamiliar positions without help.

Pros

Walmart has endless career opportunities, there are no limits. I think they have a pretty good benefits package, along with the 401K and stock purchase plan. There are countless discounts available to associates on the walmartbenefits.com website. I went to college, obtained a degree and ended up not leaving because of my pay/benefits.

Cons

No vision insurance, very strict leave policy now, dealing with the public (they aren't ALWAYS right). Constant change of policies, some confusion among associates. Pay caps--no raise for the past 2 years.
