Pros

Easy way to get relocated to the valley, locals already know all to well this place is toxic and don't even consider this place. Bonus projections appear encouraging until it becomes clear that it is a joke, the division is not profitable and won't be any time soon. Job title ranges like Principal can be alluring, but you will be taking a step back since you'll be working with broken processes and neglected tools. HQ offers services to support eCommerce business, but they are slow, confrontational upon engagement and communication goes into a black hole.

Cons

Bait and switch tactics. Very dishonest and truth suppressing. Under staffed and under funded. Not possible to be your best work. If you don't say what people want to hear, treatment becomes indignant. Quality of coworkers is questionable with secret inter relationships at play. Employee surveys indicate results in the very low end of the industry 20 - 30% scores year after year. Brand and culture reputation keeps the best talent elsewhere.

Pros

Being around the customers is great, I love a good challenge with a bunch of price matching and couponing. I loved watching over the self check out, making sure customers had a clear view on how to work the machines.

Cons

The only cons is that they do not accept doctors notes, and they really do not care how sick you are, a call off for any reason is counted against you.

Pros

1. Big Brand. 2. You will get to work upon a large data/userbase with some good technologies. 3. Good facilities like free food, snakes, cab etc.(before covid)

Cons

1. Worst politics. Looks like I am sitting in parliament house not in an IT firm. 2. No individual growth. For example, I worked there for around 2 and a half years. Joined as SD3 and left as SD3. 3. Old tree-level hierarchy, where your senior will be sitting on your head. No flat team structure. 4. Blame game. Senior will blame juniors for anything which goes wrong and take credit for anything which goes well. 5. HR management is the worst. Once you are hired, you will never see them again, even if you need them. 6. No transparency. I was a victim of politics for at least 1+ year and higher management was unaware until I came forward and screamed. 7. No 360 degree review/feedback system.
