      17 years with the company, relocating my family seven times to five different states and then they eliminated my position, restructuring the corporate divisions, downsizing the staff, eliminating sbu's, sending over 2,000 management personnel out to the dislocated employment line; my senior age causing me to be disadvantaged for any potential employment since no company would want to employee somebody who was now at retirement age.

      Pros

      the people; the company employs local people who are just trying to survive and make a living, and getting to work with and work for those people is a great joy

      Cons

      it was a great company created by a great man, but since his death it has resorted to chaos management by profit-only, numbers-driven executives who are totally disconnected from the store operations where the business actually takes place; no regard for the employees, for their lives, their time, their contributions; they're treated as just another machine, another line on the asset column, expendable and in tolerable.

      I wish I could find one!

      Cons

      Very racist management, Does not even care for employees to get breaks at proper time. High level of mismanagement. Pays least of all stores in the area. CS Managers are outright rude and inconsiderate. No potential for growth, only donkey work. Run as fast as you can away from this place.

      the 10% discount can help alot when it comes to grocery shopping, good flexibility if you are in highschool or university, awesome co-workers, profit sharing is a bonus

      Cons

      Very short staffed, crazy line ups, majority of the management needs to be replaced with qualified respectful individuals who know how to do there job. Can get very stressful on the weekends due to not enough staff and it becomes your problem
