Pros

Flexible schedule, Better than minimum wage, Ability to change positions within the company, You get to interact with a lot of different people(this can also be a con).

Cons

Big disconnect between management and employees. Seemed like you had to know someone to advance in the company. Assigned new jobs that you were not hired to do and not paid more for doing them.

Pros

If you need a quick part-time job and you are up for any position Wal-Mart is great. Depending on the store, you can move up if you plan to stay. There are also a lot of benefits from working in a super market such as discounts.

Cons

Do not expect to work in a single position pretty much ever, you do what is need to be done. Granted, somethings require a lot of specialization, but for everything else you probably WILL do it once. I applied for Software Sales Associate and that was where I spent the least of my time.
