Pros

Payday is guaranteed to be on every other Thursday.

Cons

Managers at Walmart need to bare in mind at all times that non managers are not there for taking out their frustrations and prejudices on. Being completely dead set on refusing to promote or respect veterans is despicable and is completely against Walmart's core values, namely respect for the individual. I have worked closely with many vets over the years and we were always of the employee type where we are eager to please and give 110% at all times, and to show their appreciation, we are always denied access to things like being members of the safety team, certifications, full time status, and promotions into the management sect. We veterans learn very early on in our military careers to be leaders. Walmart is very famous for stifling our desire to lead. This is an outrage, but is to be expected from a company who owes its very existence to companies who do not have America's best interrest at heart. However, to be sure, Walmart boasts of respect for the individual and preparing ALL associates for management. In truth, they single out veterans to keep out of their inner circle of managers.

Pros

pretty easy to get hired

Cons

Training is lackluster or completely non existent. Hours are so restricted that taking breaks is nearly impossible due to lack of coverage. Intentionally under staffing stores so staff are forced to choose between helping their customers and getting their stock out.
