Pros

Pay, workspace, company events, free snacks and drinks, trendy area with lots of options for lunch, work with very talented people.

Cons

It's a newer growing company and it has some growing pains. Parking is far, some negative people but overall it's a great work environment.

Pros

I enjoy working at Valorem. I get to work on cutting edge technology that I haven't gotten to do at any of my other employers. If you want to sit at your screen and code for hours like a robot, then you won't like it here. If you like working on the edge with new technologies in a fun, challenging, but constantly changing environment... then you will love it like I do. I get paid well to handle the pressure of high tech client engagements and solving complex business problems.

Cons

Client demands can sometimes change your workload for the day... but that is to be expected in consulting.

Pros

Team I worked with was very dedicated to getting the job done, the push of unrealistic expectations by upper management (Managing Partners) generated huge turn over in the month of July ultimately forcing people to decide to leave due to the long hours and no work life balance.

Cons

The teams worked hard yet the managing partners were constantly communicating they needed everyone to be more dedicated putting in more hours. They openly communicated their concern of the level of work people were not willing to give. Ultimately they had to outsource one of their main products in August due to a large number of the employees leaving including me making my tenure of 4 months the shortest employment engagement of my career to meet a Sept 1 deadline.
