Pros

Office is in a good location.

Cons

There are some good engineers, but a lot of bad ones too. Lots of ppl get let go for performance reasons. Hiring process is a joke. They don’t do technical interviews. Anyone can get a job here. Compensation and perks are bottom of the barrel for Seattle. Long hours we often required. No signing bonus or relocation provided

Thank you for taking time to give us feedback and we are sorry you had a negative experience while you were at Valorem. We are very proud of our staff and we realize that people are at varying levels of their careers when we hire them. Our hiring process is being continually assessed to provide clearer and more accurate feedback both on technical and behavioral competencies. We are also continually evaluating our pay and making sure we are at market rates for each geography. Thanks again for your feedback and we wish you the best!

Pros

-Some very good engineers and managers -lots of snacks -casual dress code -average pay and benefits

Cons

-very unorganized so they are very reactionary to customer request/demands -minimum 50 hour work weeks that increase to 60+ once a month -usually work one weekend day to be ready for the next week -a lot of unhappy employees that are happy to have a job so they do not complain

Not a Professional Company

Pros

The offices are ok and the talent they bring in are great

Cons

Good ole boys club. Managing partners are holding the company back from reaching its full potential. Resources are under-utilized and have little say in what occurs. Opinions are not well accepted and change doesn't happen unless its managements ideas.
