Pros

Micromanagement was the key issue to my departure. However, the relationships built with existing clients and dealing with people on the shipping floor were highlights to my work day. I encourage others to try logistics as a job path, but is limited on the application of any education obtained from post-secondary endeavors.

Cons

Long work hours, micromanagement at all levels of work. Staff is composed of a varying degree of expertise and experience and many staff are temporary / seasonal employees which makes it difficult to build strong working relationships.

Pros

The money and benefits are great. Once you get out of the building in the morning you are your own boss.

Cons

The hours can be long and you are constntly questioned about your performance. It seems like management is always trying to fire someone. December is insane!

Pros

Perfect part time job. Regular pay raises. Complete benefits paid for by employer that are as good or better than most full time jobs.

Cons

Depending on location, sometimes less than 20 hours per week. So if you're looking for more hours, might not be the best choice.
