Pros

Your only hope of a PRO is if your local Presidents sets a good culture that he or she can protect from the toxic corporate culture.

Cons

Everything. Sysco will lie to you in anyway it can to get you in the door. There is zero work life balance - working 100 hour weeks is normal. Senior Management is vapid and completely asleep at the wheel. They will constantly lie to you and mislead you. Every time you have to speak to corporate, you'll wish you were dead. Periscope is awful.

Pros

Honestly can't think of one. Worst job I've ever had. I can only blame myself for accepting their offer.

Cons

I feel bad for the Sysco employees that have to read these reviews. Especially the employees that are responsible for "responding" to the negative reviews with "We're sorry Sysco wasn't a good fit for you". I feel like those employees understand how bad Sysco is, more than the reviewers. I'm sorry you have to feed your family this way, review-responder. Since my enslavement at Sysco, I've left and I've landed an amazing career that allows me time with my family, and pays me very handsomely. I can only thank Sysco for teaching me how much I value myself, my time and my family. Management was terrible. Restaurant owners would never buy from Sysco again if they knew what was going on during PMT pricing. The monthly OpCo meetings are to further indoctrinate employees. If you're happy in sales at Sysco, it's because you can't do anything else. Positive reviews are from zombies.

Pros

Some of the benefits are good.

Cons

Where do I start? Let's see, district management, a JOKE. No real support unless he's under the microscope, which usually last a few weeks. Our clients can't stand him which makes it difficult for us to either create relationships or keep them. Regional management wants to hear feedback, are fully aware of issues, nothing is done. Compensation (commissions) are no longer a benefit but they wants us to do 3 times the work, in some cases drive several hours to pickup provisions for customers because there aren't enough selectors and drivers because they keep quitting and we don't even get any gas or mileage compesation for it all while constantly having our jobs threaten. We demanded to provide our weekly schedules which normally will included making appointments with potential client or existing ones but then we are pulled away for unnecessary "mandatory meetings" and are forced to reschedule our entire appointments which in turn upsets our those potential or existing clients because they had to block those specific times from their busy schedules to accommodate us in the first place. I can go on and on but, I won't. I'm so disappointed at the direction this company has chosen to go because from where our customers are standing, they don't feel like their businesses are important to us, and from where we are standing (sales), we don't have any support or feel important either. And our competitors are watching it all implode
