Scheduling is very tight. It's easy to get bogged down with taking over many peoples shifts during the week. If someone calls off, their aren't many people willing, or able to cover that persons shift for the day. The downside to Subway being so clean, is that you actually have to clean it on a more-than-regular basis. Doing everything that needs to be done in any given day takes a lot of time. And when it gets busy you have to put those things aside to wait on customers, putting you behind, and not letting you get home on time.

There's only a ten minute break for an eight hour shift. And working with people sucks because they're way too picky about their food. If you were laid off in an across-the-board cutback, say so; otherwise, indicate that the move was your decision, the result of your action. Do not mention personality conflicts. The interviewer may spend some time probing you on this issue, particularly if it is clear that you were terminated. The "We agreed to disagree" approach may be useful. Remember hat your references are likely to be checked, so don't concoct a story for an interview.
