Pros

Free food after your shift. You were allowed to take one 6 inch home at the end of every shift, but most people (including management) took two. This was one of the things that kept me working there.

Cons

Wage is absolute minimum and working on holidays does not have extra pay.

Pros

It's refreshing to work in a fast-food setting without it being greasy or dirty. The management is fairly competent and is willing to work around any scheduling you may have in your personal life, and is very flexible. In terms of income, it's what you would expect from a fast-food restaurant. Raises are given on a... whenever you get them basis, not yearly, quarterly, etc. Not much. But if I had to choose, this is the best fast-food restaurant to work at. If you like a clean, easy-going place to work, then this is it. Overall, a nice place to work.

Cons

Scheduling is very tight. It's easy to get bogged down with taking over many peoples shifts during the week. If someone calls off, their aren't many people willing, or able to cover that persons shift for the day. The downside to Subway being so clean, is that you actually have to clean it on a more-than-regular basis. Doing everything that needs to be done in any given day takes a lot of time. And when it gets busy you have to put those things aside to wait on customers, putting you behind, and not letting you get home on time.

Pros

You get free food and the people could make the day go by faster.

Cons

There's only a ten minute break for an eight hour shift. And working with people sucks because they're way too picky about their food. You should leave to a different location but be graceful because management ALWAYS calls! Be brief, to the point, and as honest as you can without hurting yourself. Refer back to the planning phase of your job search. where you considered this topic as you set your reference statements. If you were laid off in an across-the-board cutback, say so; otherwise, indicate that the move was your decision, the result of your action. Do not mention personality conflicts. The interviewer may spend some time probing you on this issue, particularly if it is clear that you were terminated. The "We agreed to disagree" approach may be useful. Remember hat your references are likely to be checked, so don't concoct a story for an interview.
