Pros

The best reason to work at Subway is the chance to interact not only with your co-workers, but customers. Fast food might get a bad rap most of the time, but Subway is unlike any place you've ever worked before. I have worked there for over four years and I started when I was 16. I've started as a sandwich artist and worked my way up to store manager. I recently accepted a job as assistant manager at a different store for more money. The money may not be terrific, but it's a fun starter job.

Cons

The cons are not all so terrible. The worst part is working with people who hate their job. And seeing as there is a lot of time to talk to your co-workers, there is lots of time for drama. It's like being in high school all over again.

Pros

When you are staffed enough it isn't overly stressful and sometimes have a laugh. Free 6" sub if your shift is over 6 hours.

Cons

Almost always under staffed. Always bare minimum wage (absolute legal minimum based on age) Senior management bosses (worked in my store) rather rude/offhand comments. Basically paid me pennies on my first wage because of pay schedules then said tough (didn't tell me in advance) Expected to fill in shifts when people left/got moved
