Pros

I worked at a particularly laid back franchise. The owners always tried to push us towards more sales and tell us our store sucked so we would improved. Worked with great people, most of the time. Management acted like peers, not like gods. Very, very flexible scheduling, of course my manager was the best manager I've ever had. Had this job for 5 years and could go back if I ever need to.

Cons

-subway smells terrible -its fast food -the gross people you work with until they decide making sandwiches is too hard -inconsistancies from store to store - customers would say, "well so and so at this location does it this way"

Pros

Less strenous than McDonalds and other fast food restaurants. When scheduled, most times if not all of the time, it is very flexible.

Cons

Lots of responsibility on each shift. Unprofessional and unreliable employess come along with the high turnover rate and create extra stress.

Pros

As far as training goes, they jump you in pretty quickly but I never felt unprepared. My management was pretty lax as long as all the work was done, so it wasn't a stressful situation most of the time (except when it was really busy, when it kicked in high gear) and coworkers could have a lot of fun together if they wanted to. It's not exactly a dream job, but it's cleaner and less stressful than most fast food jobs, and the drive through is actually pretty fun.

Cons

The salary sucks. Raises are rarely given out, and when they are, they're incremental. Closers can get stuck with a lot of cleaning and general hassle that no one else wanted to deal with. Still, they're supposed to have all their work done and be out of there when their hours dictate. They're almost always understaffed. They overestimate what one person can do in their shift when they're alone.
