Pros

Free 6 in sandwich, chips, and drink every day. Some people were really dedicated workers and fun to work with.

Cons

Dealing with customers who want huge amounts of veggies on their sandwich and then getting your job threatened for high food costs. Bad management and filthy store beyond cleaning due to years of bad lazy employees and lack of authority. If something broke it wouldn't be fixed for a long time. Day shift never liked to finish their duties so it was always put on night shift. Night shift was always understaffed. The best people always quit. I was part-time and at one point I was working every night right after school until 10:30 leaving no room for homework.

Pros

There were free sandwiches when you worked about 5 hours. The store I worked in was very quiet so employees would spend hours on their phones as there was nothing to do

Cons

The people you have to work with, they are difficult to get along with and I often felt excluded - there was a christmas party i wasn't even invited to despite having worked there for months. The manager rarely gave me shifts Apparently I failed the 5 week probationary period (I can't recall doing anything wrong), so my employment discontinued. I wasn't even told by my manager, I was told by another employee, which was embarrassing and there was no respect. I WAS NEVER PAID FOR ANY OF THE SHIFTS I DID. I am owed £85. I have written a letter to the branch but I have had no reply. They moved me to another branch without telling me, so I had to commute for about an hour to get there. Minimum wage - £3.69 an hour shouldn't be legal.
