Pros

Free food and drinks. There are no other pros. I'd gladly give up free food for a better job to be happy.

Cons

You get called on your days off to fill in for people who call in sick. You get called on your evenings after a nine hour shift to go help the new staff with closing. You are expected to stay late after almost every shift. You don't get a break when working nine hour shifts. Manager sits on his phone the whole time while you have to serve a line of customers on your own. You get forced to work seven days some weeks and get told you have no choice. I have no time to have a personal life, to study or to do anything. I get a sunday off maybe three weeks out of four because im not allowed having a week day off. Manager keeps trying to convince me that I won't be successful in life if I don't stay with subway. Overall ive become extremely depressed because of this job. Unfortunately I can't just quit because i have to pay rent and bills! This jobs sucks the life out of you!!!

Pros

Some of the Pros I've found when working for SUBWAY have been the flexibility of scheduling, and most owners offer their employees meals at either discounted prices or completely free while working. Some even go so far as to offer family discounts of 10% when you're on the clock. The work is easy enough.

Cons

The stress! The stress alone of running a store is not worth what I get paid, let alone the stress of a micro-managing owner. Store owners are often more concerned with their profit, which I suppose I understand from a business point of view, however, how are you going to have an efficiently operating store if you under-appreciate your employees? Finding people to work is difficult since the Subway name has been marred with bad publicity. Often my employees work shifts by themselves because we are under staffed and over worked. The pay does not equate the work we do, not by a long shot.

Pros

Friendly coworkers, making subs is not bad The work in general was ok, nothing out of the ordinary

Cons

Very low pay + quit because the owner wasn't paying me for some of my shifts No free subs No short breaks and longer 30min breaks (for shifts over 5 hours) were always interrupted if the manager thought something needed to be done No proper training - more "learn as you go", and then they get mad that you don't know everything Had to pay $70 for uniform consisting of 2 tshirts and a hat A lot of my complaints are probably particular to this franchise, like the owner was terrible. But I still wouldn't recommend it as the pay isn't worth the work that you do
