Pros

Starbucks was a great place to work. The people were friendly, the customers enticing and you got to have free coffee all day! Work hours were nice- you could open and be off by noon. The pay, for my position, (in related fields) was excellent. I made a base pay of 50k, plus amazing healthcare and incentive plans. I enjoyed the feeling you got from knowing you were doing a good deed- helping people- some in their darkest hour. Sounds cliche, but it was and is so true. Starbucks is not just a coffee shop- it is not just a fast food joint. It is a third place, a place to unwind, mingle and mourn.

Cons

Long hours off the clock Promotions are slim Company is too PC

Pros

There corporate social responsibility is really admirable. The benefits are fantastic.

Cons

The store manager's schedule is totally inconsistent. It is very difficult to plan a life outside of work with this company.
