Pros

Brand recognition, working here adds value to your resume as they are known to be a great place to work and have had phenomenal growth - Team atmosphere, at the regional level there is a strong attempt made to make every contribution important and to celebrate successes

Cons

Economy forcing cutbacks and movement away from their mission, morale is lowering daily at the district level, making partners feel they cannot acheive their goals and are not supported and are not trusted to make the business decisions daily they used to have control over - very difficult to acheive the balance in service requirements with running a strong P&L

Pros

Starbucks has an exceptional benefit package. Full medical, dental, vision, profit sharing & 401k at only 20 hours per week. If you are in Seattle or located near a regional office, there is lots of room for growth. If you are not, your chances are VERY slim to none.

Cons

As referenced before, if you are not near a major RO, there is not much opportunity for growth outside of a minimal role player position. Also, the pay is awful. 28-35k for an SM
