Pros

Great Benefits Package, Great environment. The management training is highyly recognnized and if you are placed with the right mentor you will actually finish you training int he 8months that is alloted to you.

Cons

There is no consistancy with expectations from district manager. A lot of the managers work over 50 hour work weeks. The company talks about consistency from what is expected from their employees at the store level, however it seems that some of the DMs do not treat all their store level employees with the respect that is expected of the rest of the team.

Pros

Have an undecided major? Or a liberal arts degree? Perfect. Starbucks is for you. It's enough to get you through the college years with the premise of a paycheck and the smell of a first job. The people are great, there's unlimited coffee/drinks while you're working a half hour before and after, plus you get a pound of coffee/tea weekly.

Cons

Politics. Shift supervisor positions are given to young hopefuls without proper training. Managers will likely guide the trainee through three days--tops--for training and will then let that person manage the store.
