Great Bank but choose your Line Manager wisely

Pros

- Innovative Bank that strives to keep up with the technology - Leaders try to foster a good working culture (i.e. a Bank that cares) - flexible working and nice benefits - volunteer opportunities

Cons

The bank may care but be aware that implementations of all Bank policies is left to the Line Managers’ discretion . If you have a bad manager, she / he can make life hell (e.g very political environment, no increment for successive years, refusal to keep up with times especially on flexible working etc) and there will be zero support . Unfortunately there is no review process for the effectiveness of a line manager (apart from the yearly employee assessment which brings no results). As with all careers, choose your line manager wisely as your career in the Bank is dependent on that!
