Pros

Fair compensation and benefits. A lot of opportunities to move internally across functions and geographies. Lots of training opportunities and community service initiatives e.g. seeing is believing, organized marathons in various cities (Mumbai, UAE, Hong Kong)

Cons

out-dated systems and technological infrastructure. Relatively high attrition makes it difficult to plan and execute on plans. Constantly changing strategy and priorities makes it a bit unsettling to plan one's career in the bank.

Pros

- good career path if you have good manager, if you don't, escalating won't solve the problem (been escalating for 2 years, nothing changed) - the Group itself creates a good campaign (work life balance, improve way of work) - good corporate advertisement theme - good medical coverage - competitive loan benefit compared to other banks

Cons

- favoritism in some department - high gap of salary in the same level (though the one who gets better pay is not better than the other. Hi paid one usually made a good negotiation while joining) - I was once classified as hi-performer, and then got assigned to fix unit but then I failed. and then one who replaced me was 2 levels above me and also failed (no wonder I failed) In other word, they try to run as cheap as possible. - lack of system investment. If the labor cost is cheap, better do it MANually than automatically - different department, totally different budget (in non profit department, the budget is totally awful) - in some department, working 8 hours can be a sin (typical asia :)
