Pros

Good brand image but considered to be minnow among other international British Banks in terms of assets and turnover. Share prices have lack lusture performence. Good target for take over given low valuation.

Cons

Lacks strategic focus, senior executive level is pretty much controlled by Indians, Chinese are gradually coming forward but only in pockets in Asia. Culture is pretty archaic changes takes time to implement and a bit of eye wash. End always justifies the means, politics is quite rife across.

Pros

If you work for a good boss and you have good relationship skills, you would have sufficient autonomy to grow your portfolio and make an impact

Cons

May be challenging for people coming from organizations where there is SOP for everything
